As the Welding Instructor, Joaquin mentors and guides students in developing proficiency in welding, inspiring a passion for the craft within the learning community.

Working in industry for different organizations over the past 35 years I have acquired a set of skills that are essential for industrial maintenance mechanics, machinists, fabricators, and welders. Organizations I have worked for are manufactures of specialized conductors used for ocean retrieval units and surveillance equipment, prosthesis, firearms, and heat exchangers.

Education:

  • Bachelors in Management from the University of Redlands California
  • Associates in Management, Business, and Behavioral Science from Mt. San Jacinto Community College

Accomplishments:

  • Designed and built large rotating machinery used for the production of cables/conductors.
  • While working for the University of California Riverside I had the opportunity to design and build machinery that simulated heart pulsations in plasma, high tolerance temperature controlling equipment, pumping equipment, and equipment that collects the web from a spider.
  • Apprentice instructor for more than 10 years of Industrial Maintenance procedures with welding and machining classes
  • Successfully taught 1G through 6G welding certification process to students with little or no welding experience
  • Developed curriculum and designed training tutorials for USSugar and Metropolitan Water District
  • Developed practical and written tests for employee recruitment
