Pipe Welding Level 2

This is an advanced welding class that focuses on pipe welding utilizing the SMAW process. Students will learn the difference between AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code requirements and ASME B31.3 Code pipe welding requirements.

Course Outline:

  • 120 Hours hands-on applying SMAW to Pipe in different positions, 2" and 6" pipe
  • 40 Hours hands-on fabrication and pipe fitting
  • 32 Hours classroom lecture and apply pipefitting calculations, blueprints and welding symbols, and learning fabrication means and methods
  • Prerequisite: students must pass 3G+4G test or pass Level 1 with 70% or better to take Pipe Welding Level 2
